Integrating Media into Climate Change Education at High School: A Case Study

This study aims to develop an effective communication method on climate change in the Geography subject at high schools, with a case study at Doan Ket High School - Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi. To achieve the objective, the study used the method of collecting information through a questionnaire survey to 537 students and 31 teachers of Doan Ket High School - Hai Ba Trung regarding their awareness, understanding, and need to improve knowledge about climate change; analytical method to develop a climate change communication method in Geography, and pedagogical experimental method to evaluate the effectiveness of the communication method. The study proposes and applies the method of integrating climate change communication into lessons, using various forms of information communication, organizing extracurricular activities and learning projects, and enhancing the role of education. The research results also show that this method helps teachers have more vivid lessons, and students have changed their awareness and attitude towards climate change. The results of the research have provided a direction in educational communication in high schools in Vietnam.
